Clarity is the single starting point for all people data and insights needs across Amazon Worldwide Operations and Corporate, providing a cohesive view of quantitative and qualitative people metrics for decision making. Clarity provides feature set such as dashboard, GenAI chat, standard and custom reports, landing page widgets, metric library with a vision to become a comprehensive analytics tool of Amazon people data.
In 2022, Clarity provided customers with over 1,000 metrics with hundreds of ways to filter/slice them across Amazon's Operations and Corporate divisions. As a result of Clarity's rapid growth, users struggled to get the data they needed for their organizations and were frustrated by the repeated need to query the data.
To resolve the customer problems and improvide the user experience in Clarity, the team initiated the personalization project in 2021 and launched relevant features during 2022-2023.
